28th Online Film Critics Society AwardsNominations 17.Jan.25 • Winners 27.Jan.25 Notes by Rich: One of the awards I get to vote in, the Online Film Critics Society was established in 1997, and is now part of the mainstream awards season. Members come from all over the world, but the predominantly American membership (and US eligibility rules) is slowly shifting as more globally minded critics come on board. The annual citations for non-US releases is a great start. As usual, this group's nominations tend to follow the zeitgeist, with a few geeky touches here and there. Note the much stronger showing for Dune: Part Two than most awards groups, plus lots of love for The Substance and a best film nomination for I Saw the TV Glow. Otherwise, the favourites are strongly represented in most categories, with less love than expected for Emilia Perez, while Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig are missing altogether.
